Comment: | Paracoccidioides brasiliensisis dimorphic and the causative agent for paracoccidioidomycosis, a chronic granulomatous disease of mucous membranes, skin, and pulmonary system. In contrast to the other yeasts, particularly Blastomyces, Paracoccidioides has multiple buds, a thin cell wall, and a narrow base. |
