Comment: | Aspergillus clavatus is a rarely pathogenic fungus that is evolutionarily close to two major pathogenic fungi, Aspergillus fumigatus and Aspergillus terreus. Aspergillus clavatus is very allergenic and can produce the toxin petulin, which may be associated with disease in humans and animals. This filamentous fungus is found in soil and animal manure. |
